Who we are
We are a small primary school, fortunate to be set in incredible grounds as part of the Pylewell Estate. This means that our daily learning and play is enhanced by the heritage and natural world that belongs to our little patch of… specialness. Children come to us from Lymington, the surrounding area and sometimes further afield as they enjoy the ‘family feel’ of our village school. We have a school minibus shuttle which is available to families in East Boldre.
If you haven’t already visited, please do take time to explore our website and get in contact with our team who would be happy to help.
The SBS curriculum is rooted in PEOPLE - PEOPLE FIRST. Our focus on people and individuals is the 'north star' of our curriculum. Our 'north star' guides us to create a bespoke provision that leads to the growth of:
wisdom
curiosity
innovation
excellence
This focus and purpose allows all individuals the opportunities, independence and self-efficacy to: 'STRIVE and BELIEVE to SHINE.'
Where we are
South Baddesley CE Primary School can be found 2 miles east of Lymington. The school was founded in 1854 and occupied the small redbrick building that still exists. As the school has grown; new buildings have been added to the original site and now provides excellent facilities to the pupils.
Pupils come to the school from the local areas of South Baddesley, Walhampton, Norleywood, East End, Portmore, East Boldre and Lymington.
What makes us special
At South Baddesley we put people first and kindness embodies our school values. From the moment our Reception children begin at SBS, they are welcomed and nurtured by their very own Year 6 buddy and by our exceptional school staff. We take pride in our commitment to helping South Baddesley pupils thrive and grow as individuals who feel happy, safe and cared for.
The school has strong links with St. Mary’s Church and the Brockenhurst Parish Churches, working closely with members of the parish to provide spiritual and moral guidance for the pupils. Good links with the community help to retain the school’s village ethos.
“When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.”
