Volunteers at South Baddesley CE Primary School

We welcome volunteers at South Baddesley CE Primary School and match the needs of the school with the skills and interests of each volunteer. We ask volunteers to book time slots with class teachers so that teachers can plan and prepare for their visit. 

We believe that volunteers can have a great impact on the pupils and often have the opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and parents, especially when volunteering on a frequent basis. As part of best practice, we will carry out checks and follow our Safeguarding procedures for all volunteers, both those who are not known to the school and those who are. We ask volunteers to provide:

• Proof of identification, e.g. driver’s licence

• Proof of right to work in the UK, e.g. passport

• Proof of address, e.g. council tax bill

• Two references (preferably an employment and a character reference)

Volunteers will be asked to read our SBS Child Protection Policy and our SBS Behaviour Policy before commencing any session at school.
