Welcome to Year 4 and 5
We are Shadow class. The children in Shadow demonstrate an increasing level of independence and responsibility as they move towards, or arrive in, upper Key Stage 2.

Why are we called Shadow?
Adorable Shadow is brave and courageous. We know that we sometimes have to be courageous to achieve the things we find hardest; sometimes we have to be brave in our friendships too. A pupil once reported that SBS is a place with a lot of courage. We hope that this is true and that every day we can help children find just a tiny bit more courage. In the Bible, Jesus often demonstrates courage to us; he does not always take the easy path and in the end, he showed ultimate courage through the sacrifice of his life for us. We look for daily examples of courage and use them to build our strong community.
What are our dreams and ambitions this year?
Our hope is to find creative ways to look after our beautiful planet.
Our dreams are to find ways to use green energy efficiently, be eco-friendly, and look after our oceans.
To use our high standards and knowledge to protect and preserve our planet and its wildlife. In school, we aspire to strive, believe in ourselves and let our lights shine brightly.
What makes Shadow and Aslan Class 2026-2027 special?
1. We are role models to the school. We take care of our buddies, our friends and everyone in our school; showing kindness to everyone around us.
2. We are supportive of each other and make others feel calm and confident so they can reach their goals.
3. We are welcoming, inclusive and treat everyone with equal respect.
