Welcome to Tulane Class
Welcome to Year 3 and 4
We are Tulane class, the first class in Key Stage 2. There is a mix of Year 3 and Year 4 in Tulane Class which provides an excellent scaffold and role model for our Year 3 children, as well as leadership and role modelling opportunities for our Year 4 pupils.
Children in Tulane are often taught in year groups, for example, we have Year 3 and Year 4 maths lessons separately in smaller ‘learning pods’.

Why are we called Tulane?
Edward Tulane is a toy rabbit who has a lot to learn. In the beginning, Tulane is good at thinking about himself and maybe doesn’t always show compassion to others. But Tulane goes on a journey, just like we are on a learning and growing journey. In our school, we learn how to be learners and about who we are as individuals because this helps us to be happy now and prepare for our next steps. Edward Tulane learns how to hold love at the centre of everything.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
I Corinthians 13:4-8
What are our dreams and ambitions this year?
We dream for a world where everyone can be kind to the environment, we dream that pollution will end and nature can thrive.
Our ambition is to deliver a community worship to the school! Even though it can be daunting, we want to show resilience and take risks by standing up in front of lots of people to share our wonderful work.
