SBS Farm Blog February
The weather may have been relentlessly cold and grey this month, but Mrs Strugnall and Mr Howard started the huge task of clearing the undergrowth near the staff car park ready for fencing and using later for pigs. Quotes are being obtained for the fencing, which must be very secure and appropriate for the security of the animals and children. They were able assisted by a student from Sparsholt College, Paige, who told me she can’t wait to come back in the summer to help again and to see what progress has been made. The area of land cleared is much larger than it appeared and already has some established saplings along the border.
SBS parents have been busy approaching local businesses for help and donations and the first item secured was a wheelbarrow, donated by New Milton Sand and Ballast.
Please have another look at the list and see if you can help.
Spring is coming so planting of vegetables and fruit and preparation for the animals secure grazing and housing will soon be under way.
